About the hall

Situated in the heart of Marton, the Memorial Hall is a former Methodist Chapel built in 1882.

It was extensively refurbished in 2009 and boasts a new well appointed kitchen and new toilets.

The main part of the hall was completely redecorated and the heating system was replaced. A new sound system was fitted with a induction loop for the hard of hearing.

In 2011 special sound damping panels were fitted, resulting is superb acoustics that are fantastic for plays and musical events, as well as general hall use.

A high definition, permanently mounted video projector is now available for events at which you wish to display information from a laptop computer. Connection is via VGA D-type or HDMI connectors. There is also a lead to connect the headphone output of your laptop to the hall sound system.

In 2012 a 20 Mbps (upload/download) wireless broadband service was installed so you can make use of the Internet at your meeting or event.

The hall is an ideal venue for parties, social gathering, plays and other events, and can be booked according to your needs. There is a garden to the side, which can be used for barbecues or sitting out when the weather permits.

The Memorial Hall is run by the Village Hall Committee, and is available for hire for most occasions.
