Information about broadband connection options

There are two main options for receiving direct-wired broadband:

  • Via the old BT copper cables (now operated and maintained by Openreach), which allows you to select and sign-up with any broadband provider.
  • Via a full fibre cable connection, usually known as FTTP (fibre to the premises). This FTTP service is owned and operated by Quickline who offer their broadband exclusively. Although you can’t shop around for other providers, you do get improved reliability and dramatically increased speed.

Note: It’s likely that Openreach will upgrade its system to FTTP in the future.

The Boundless Networks wireless internet service has now been decommissioned in the village. Most Boundless users have switched to using Quickline, which owns Boundless Networks.
