As of 1 May 2026 the pub is under new management.
The Punch Bowl Inn is a traditional inn dating back to the 16th century that still retains its old world charm and cosy character. We’re waiting for some new pictures to show how the new owner, Simon Wade, has transformed the interior.
The Punch Bowl displays a wealth of characterful beams and open fires, and it specialises in bringing its guests high quality food and drink with friendly service in comfortable and relaxed surroundings. It boasts a fabulous bar and tap room with five further areas each with their own fires, creating a pub of great individuality and character.
The bar also accommodates informal dining, with large wooden tables and roaring open fires. The five downstairs areas within the pub provide distinctive rooms each with their own charms.
The Punch Bowl is open 7 days a week, for lunch, dinner and drinks.
