Information about the full-fibre cabling activity in the village - updated 5/09/2025

Anyone on the Boundless Networks wireless broadband system should be aware that the wireless system may be shut off as early as the end of October 2025]

Many of you in the village will have noticed the cabling activity in the village over the last few weeks. This work is being carried out by a broadband company called Quickline and its contractors. Fibre optic cables are being installed using the existing BT Openreach pathways, which includes the underground ducts and the telephone poles.

The intention is to be able to offer direct to property full fibre cable connections, usually known as FTTP (fibre to the premises). This cuts out the copper wire portion of the connection to your house to improve reliability and increase speed. Quickline have delivered flyers to residents about signing up for their full fibre service. For more information take a look at these links:
